Born on the 26th of April, 1981, Anar Mammadov has quickly become one of Azerbaijan's leading business-minds and philanthropists. Through a number of organizations which he has either founded or chairs, he has helped to create thousands of jobs, promote fitness and well-being, and engaged with the international community to help forge stronger economic ties throughout the world.
Anar Mammadov showed his promise early on by graduating from no less than 3 major Universities in the space of 2 years. In 2003, he graduated from one of his homeland's most prestigious seats of learning, Baku State University, with a degree in Law. He quickly completed a degree following this in 2004, adding to his impressive list of academic qualifications with a degree in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University of London, then two other degrees in the form of a bachelor's of Arts and Master’s degree in Business administration, all by 2005.
This wealth of business training led to Anar Mammadov founding an investment company called ZQAN Holding in 2005.
Although starting with a modest investment, the company was renamed as Garant Holding in 2013, and as of 2014 controls nearly 30 separate high profile brands across 18 subsidiaries. This has involved acquiring and merging companies in many different areas including telecommunications, construction material production, and the hotel industry. By 2014, Garant Holding had become one of the most important businesses in Azerbaijan, providing a truly international presence for Azerbaijan in the global market. All of this was achieved through the company vision set out by Anar Mammadov to pursue business opportunities which would benefit Azerbaijan and its people.
Alongside his success in the business world, Anar Mammadov has also achieved much through his humanitarian work. By founding the Azerbaijan America Alliance, he quickly developed a non-profit organization which has been central to the promotion and nurturing of Azerbaijan's culture, history, industry and economic future. At all times the Alliance has engaged with the American people to further awareness of Azerbaijan and its people, while engaging with the rich Azeri diaspora which exists within the USA.
Anar Mammadov has also worked tirelessly as the President of the Azerbaijan Golf Federation since 2012 to develop the first tournament-ready golf course in Azerbaijan, while promoting the sport at both grass roots and international levels. Through his leadership, the Golf Federation has developed a number of world class facilities designed to help young Azerbaijan citizens interest in the sport to achieve their goals, and become fully developed players.
