Anar Mammadov: In Profile

Anar Mammadov is an international businessman and philanthropist from Azerbaijan. Known for his business acumen and charitable work in equal measure, he has striven for success over the past 15 years and has achieved much in that short space of time.

Born in 1981, Anar Mammadov first rose to prominence in the academic sphere. After graduating with a degree in Law from Baku State University, he quickly turned his attention to the business world with a degree in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University of London, followed swiftly by a Master's degree in the same subject.

In 2005, Anar Mammadov took the knowledge and expertise which he had honed through his academic study and focused this on founding ZQAN Holding. From small seeds grow giant oaks, and by the year 2012 the company had become one of the leading investment businesses in the entire Caucasus region. Re-branding as Garant Holding in 2013, the company has forged an impressive reputation with 18 subsidiaries in its portfolio and a commitment at all times to ethical business practices and cultivating a sense of shared social responsibility for all those involved in the company.

While establishing himself as an international entrepreneur, Anar Mammadov has also placed great importance on being involved in a number of philanthropic pursuits. By founding the Azerbaijan American Alliance in 2011, he has personally overseen the campaign to improve the lives of the Azeri people through the proposed repeal of section 907 of the Freedom Act. As the founder and chairman of the Azerbaijan Golf Federation since 2012, Anar Mammadov has worked tirelessly to bring international acclaim to Azerbaijan as a golfing destination. Within just two years, he has been instrumental in the planning and developing of world class golfing facilities within Azerbaijan, including an 18 hole course and an academy to help future Azeri attain their dreams of improving their game both professionally and as a fun, healthy pastime.
